Volunteer Orientation is mandatory for all new volunteers. To maintain active status, all volunteers must volunteer at least once, or have attended an orientation within a calendar year.
Our volunteer orientation covers an introduction to and overview of Gulf Coast Blood, the Commit for Life program, the patients that we help, volunteer opportunities, policies and procedures, safety, and the donor experience. Bilingual volunteers are always needed.
